In many ways, the pandemic has been more difficult for veterans and first responders than for the average American. After spending so many years of their lives recovering from trauma, the past year and a half may have felt like a step in the wrong direction for many veterans.
Handling the stress of isolation and uncertainty can trigger feelings of panic, fear, and depression. Many veterans have been suffering silently during this time. In fact, the US Department of Veteran Affairs reports their crisis hotline was up by almost 15 percent over the past year.
PTSD can often leave veterans feeling like they are always in imminent danger. COVID-19 has made simple tasks more difficult and sure routines unpredictable. For many veterans, the pandemic has taken away any sense of safety. Because of your past, you are at risk for experiencing symptoms of PTSD triggered by the pandemic.
But your past – and your current struggles with PTSD – do not define who you are. You can begin the healing process to recover. You can access your Divine Blueprint and find a way to recover the life you deserve after surviving a global pandemic.
