Opening

Welcome to Ascended Warrior: Soul Codes for a Shifting World. This is your sacred space to awaken, align, and rise in your purpose. Welcome back. I’m your host, Chris Alysia, and today’s episode is a deeply important one. This is part one of a two-part series. There is so much happening in the world right now that we need to talk about, especially as spiritual beings. Throughout history, humanity has had a tendency to dehumanize one another. We strip away someone’s humanity to justify harm, control, dominance, and even extinction. The rising violence we’re seeing today is directly tied to this ancient pattern – this legacy karma left from generations of dehumanization. Today, we’re looking at why humans dehumanize, how this shows up historically and spiritually, and what it means for us now. Next week, we’ll expand into how this connects to the rise in global violence, extremism, and collective fear. Before we begin, settle into your heart. Take a deep breath. Imagine a circle of light forming in your heart and expanding around your body. Let it surround you in protection and clarity. This is the energy we hold as we enter this conversation.

Dehumanization Through History

Dehumanization goes back to the very beginning. Early humans used it as a survival mechanism: “our tribe good, that tribe bad.” Fear and propaganda made it easy to justify violence, enslavement, and the erasure of entire groups. You see this in ancient texts, like the story of Eve being created from Adam’s rib – setting women as “less than” from the very beginning. You see it in Rome, where conquered people were labeled barbarians, animals, or property. You see it across the Crusades, witch trials, colonization, slavery, and global wars. Once people were labeled “less than,” anything became justified. And we still do this today.

Dehumanization in the Modern World

We dehumanize out of fear, pain, or the desire to blame someone for our suffering. Terms like “illegals,” “terrorists,” “radicals,” and “criminals” strip away the complexity and sacredness of the human soul. As someone who worked in counterterrorism, I’ve seen firsthand how assigning a label like “terrorist” completely shuts off empathy. We stop asking why something happened. We stop caring about context. We follow the narrative, the fear, the propaganda. Psychologically, dehumanization is a powerful switch. Even kind, compassionate people can become cruel when they believe someone is “less than.”

The Spiritual Trap

Spiritually, dehumanization is an even bigger trap. There are seven stages of ascension, and at every stage, dehumanization can knock us off our soul path. Many souls alive today have fallen into this trap in past lives – on both sides. We have been the dehumanized, and we have been the ones who looked away or participated. This is why today’s world feels so dangerous. We can feel ourselves sliding back into the same energetic place we were after 9/11: fear, anger, labeling, division. As spiritual beings, we cannot afford to go down that road again. We must be disciplined in our thoughts, our words, and our frequency. We must remember: we are all sovereign souls. No label – race, gender, religion, citizenship, political identity – defines our true essence.

The Importance of Holding Compassion

We are souls having a human experience, and everything we say and think either expands our consciousness or restricts it. This is why compassion is not optional. Consciousness is not optional. We must hold the line. Push light into the spaces where fear is trying to dominate. Refuse to dehumanize – even when it’s hard, even when we’re hurting. Because the rise of violence we’re seeing today is directly connected to this pattern. Fear is contagious. People are boiling over like the “frog in boiling water” metaphor – reacting through hatred, anger, and violence. But our frequency, when disciplined, is stronger than fear. Your voice, your energy, your compassion can move mountains.

Staying Awake and Heart-Centered

Stay awake. Stay heart-centered. Remember the sovereignty in everyone involved – perpetrators, victims, leaders, media. Every one of them is a soul. Spread light. Be conscious. Hold the line. We can do this. We can do this together. Until next week, my beautiful beings of light – love and light.
